Prayer and Strength

🙏 Prayer & Strength: Walking This Path with God

Raising grandchildren is not for the faint of heart. It’s a calling—one rooted in love, wrapped in sacrifice, and carried by the grace of God. Many of us didn’t plan for this chapter. When we raised our own children, we had a partner by our side, a steady job, and a world that—while imperfect—felt more predictable.

But today?

Today our grandchildren walk through a very different world. Innocence fades too fast under the weight of social media, school shootings, broken homes, and relentless pressure to grow up too soon. We mourn what’s been lost while fighting fiercely to preserve what remains. The toys are traded too quickly for tablets. Curiosity for connection is often lost to scrolling.

Yet God sees us. He sees the grandparents—especially the grandmothers—standing in the gap. He strengthens our tired bodies. He refreshes our weary souls. We pray not just for our grandchildren, but for ourselves—because this mission requires divine strength.

🙌 A Prayer for Strength

Heavenly Father,
In this sacred role you’ve given me, I feel both humbled and stretched. The times have changed, but Your love never does.

I lift up my grandchildren to You. Cover them, Lord, in peace that passes understanding. Guard their minds from the confusion and chaos of this age. Restore what the world tries to steal.

And Lord, breathe new strength into me. Renew my purpose, refill my cup, and remind me that You have placed me here, in this moment, for a reason.

I will not give up. I will not lose heart.

Because You are with me. And Your grace is sufficient for every challenge I face.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
